After Minissha Lamba & Bipasha Basu, Anushka Sharma also gets detained at the Mumbai International airport by Customs for not declaring goods in her luggage that may have qualified for duty. From unnamed sources, Anushka had listed the items while leaving india but failed to enumerate them on her return. More details are yet be awaited.

Just last month, actress Bipasha Basu was detained at the Mumbai International Airport briefly for carrying unaccounted cash and jewellery.  Reports say that she has accepted that she forgot to declare the jewellery and was let off after paying the customs duty.

The Dhoom 2 actress was intercepted after she had crossed the green channel without making any declaration on her arrival from London.

Bipasha Basu also issued a statement saying: “It was just a routine check up at the airport and many others were being checked as well. All that I have in my bags is the clothes that I had shopped for and then hence had excess baggage for which I paid approximately Rs. 12,000 as taxes. I think the customs team is doing an excellent job.’

Customs sources said she was carrying sandals, sunglasses and perfume, which she did not know also needed to be declared. “She was very cooperative and showed all the bills,” they said.

Another Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba had been detained at the airport on May 18 on her arrival from Cannes, France, for not declaring gold and diamond jewellery worth over Rs. 30 lakh.

She was let off after two rounds of questioning, one of which lasted for over 16 hours. Lamba had claimed that the ornaments were given by a jewellery brand for purely promotional purpose to be worn at the Cannes film festival, where she had walked the red carpet.

Minissha lamba signed for the movie ‘Zilla Ghaziabad’ teaming up with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. Anand Kumar will be directing this movie.

“I have recently signed `Zilla Ghaziabad`. It`s a fantastic plot and am very excited to work with Sanjay Dutt,” Minissha told IANS.

Sanjay Dutt is playing the real life character of Thakur Pritam Singh, a zamindar from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh who turned into a cop, in the film.

Before this hard-hitting action-drama, Minissha has two comedies - Shirish Kunder`s “Joker” and Sagar Bellary`s “Hum Tum Aur Shabana” - in a row.

12th Indian International Film Awards ceremony kicked off for the first time in North America. Whole Bollywood superstars, indian dancers filled the north american streets.

According to an industry insider, the untitled film will be directed by Ghajini fame AR Murugadoss. As far as Vijay is concerned, the actor is busy shooting the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots, Nanban with Shankar.

Apparently Murugadoss, who has recently completed his 7 am Arivu with Suriya and Shruti Haasan, wants to get on with his next. He already has Vijay’s consent for the film while Sonam is yet to confirm. It is also believed that it is a big budget project backed by Fox Star Studios.

We are both in the best phase of our careers and that is what affects people. I am hurt and upset, as the entire news is false and baseless.
