Bollywood Item girl Rakhi Sawant, who is set to solve issues of the common man with her new reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’, had asked the makers to start the show on Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday as she strongly believes in him.

‘I am a big believer in Gandhi-ji. I really like him. So I have requested the channel to start the show on Oct 2, his birthday,’ said Rakhi.

The show will be aired on Imagine TV.

We Are Family did average business over the weekend, resulting in decent collections. It made an amazing start on Thursday, though it managed an average weekend collection of Rs 14.25 crore approx.

Distributed by UTV Motion Pictures, ‘We Are Family’ is the Hindi adaptation of the Julia Roberts-Susan Sarandon cast ‘Stepmom’. It also stars Arjun Rampal and child actors Aanchal Munjal, Nominath Ginsburg and Diya Sonecha.

Dabangg, releasing on September 10, chances of We Are Family continuing a good run by end of the first weekend at BO is bleak.

Peepli adds another Rs 2 crore approx to its collection, hopefully crossing a 30 crore mark.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao got an invitation to dine with Prince Charles and Camila Parker Bowles at their Marlborough House in Westminster, London. The duo has been invited for cocktails and dinner. Only a handful of guests will be present at the royal dinner party.

Aamir Khan is honored by Prince of Wales’s gesture and accepted his invitation. This is not the first time that Prince Charles is sharing moments with Indian celebrity. In the past, he had a good moment with actress Padmini Kolhapure. On his trip to India, Padmini kissed the Prince. The Prince also had a tea time with actor Gulshan Grover.

On September 9, the actor will be attending the Toronto Film Festival for the special screening of his wife’s film ‘Dhobi Ghat’.  Soon after this, Aamir Khan will be heading to London for the UK release of ‘Peepli Live’.

Recently bollywood hunk Salman Khan promoted his movie Dabangg, in that event he is asked more about his personal life than his professional life or films. Salman Khan was flooded with personal questions regarding his break-up with Katrina Kaif and he coolly answers those questions. But all this things did not go well with his sister Alvira and she warns her big brother against answering personal question during promotional event.

“My sister has texted me that I should not talk about Katrina during the promotions of ‘Dabangg’ and instead hold a special press conference for me and Katrina. She is too phunny,” said Salman, who is busy promoting ‘Dabangg’ with his co star Sonakshi Sinha.

Hope, Salman follows his sis’s advice and avoids personal questions.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai might be very friendly and well connected to media but when it comes to her personal life, she is very secretive. She does not want anyone to invade her privacy at whatever cost. She likes her privacy and so Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kicked away a lucrative amount which was offered to her by a Hollywood studio.

They approached the former Miss World to make a documentary on her life but Ash straightway declined because the documentary needs to be filmed at her home and Ash did not like the idea. They offered her a promising amount but she did not agree. She is not comfortable with cameras following her at home over a week.

The documentary is similar to the kind of one made on Shahrukh Khan titled, ‘Living With Superstar’.

Getting into films has changed Sonam Kapoor’s equations with her father.The actress used to be not far from her dad before.’I was very close to him and I have seen him be what he is. He is the finest actor in the world and has seen several ups and downs in his career period of 30 years. But then he is still down to earth. He treats the issue of every personal as his own and sets to resolve them.

It is unimaginable to think that someone of his age is doing so even today. But then after getting into films, I have become a little fearful of him. I open up more to my mother these days. But when there is a large problem, I go to him for advice,’ says Sonam Kapoor who normally does not think much of what the world feels about her.

The actress went on to say, ‘I am someone who always listens to my heart. If my heart agreed to do something, then I am there doing that. But when my heart does not permit me to do something, I avoid that totally.’Well, it seems that Anil Kapoor is not paying attention to Sonam anymore.

Kareena is angry with director Madhur Bhandarkar and she has decided not to do Madhur’s ‘Heroine’. She walked out of the film for emotional reason. Madhur Bhandarkar ill-treated Bebo’s close buddy Lovely Singh’s father Amarjeet Singh when Mr. Singh went to meet the director. He took an appointment with Madhur but still he was kept waiting for three hours and after waiting for so long, Bhandarkar refused to meet him.

A source reveals, “Lovely was really upset when he heard how Madhur treated his dad. He didn’t like the fact that despite taking an appointment the director not only made his father wait but also eventually refused to meet him. Kareena was appalled on hearing this.

She told him in confidence that it was unfortunate such a thing had to happen. And that her film with Madhur wouldn’t be happening. Officially, Bebo, Lovely and Bebo’s business manager Zahid Khan will stick to the reason that Heroine has got delayed till next year.”

However, Kareena denied the report, “It’s not true. Madhur is busy doing a film with Ajay Devgn and is busy. We will do our film sometime next year.”

There is another reason as why Bebo is reluctant to do the film. The script demands Bebo to do some intimate scene with the leading actors and unhappy Kareena asked the director to rework on the script.

Mallika Shewarat has made her singing debut not in Bollywood but in Hollywood. Everyone knows Mallika as bold and beautiful but few know that she possesses a good voice also. Her hidden talent is discovered in Hollywood. She has lend her voice for two songs for her Hollywood venture, ‘Hisss’.

Before she headed to India, Mallika Sherawat recorded a song composed by John Lennon’s son Julian Lennon in a studio in Los Angeles. She has also recorded a song composed by German composer Alexander Von Bubenheim. Mallika after spending almost a year in Los Angeles returned to India and informed her fans about her singing debut.

The film has 5 songs and 3 dance remixes. ‘Hisss’ tells the story of a snake woman whose mate is captured by an American hunter. She then decides to take revenge. The film also stars Irfan Khan and Divya Dutta.

‘Hisss’ is slated for October release.

Salman and Katrina Kaif broken their relationship. But Kat shares a great rapport with his sister Alvira Agnihotri. Recently, Kat and Alvira were spotted together at Adlabs in Film City where a special screening of ‘Dabangg’ was held and Salman with his family attended the screening. When Salman Khan’s sister Alvira came to know that the crew of ‘Tees Maar Khan’ were shooting exactly opposite the theatre, she rushed out to invite the team of ‘Dabangg’.

Notes an eyewitness, “Salman’s sister Alvira walked out from the theatre to where Katrina, Farah Khan and the TMK unit were shooting and invited all of them. But since the shoot went on late into the night, they had to decline,” adding, “By the way, Alvira and Kat really bonded.”
